Onward and Upward at Our Mother’s Home this Summer!
We are thrilled to share some amazing developments happening at Our Mothers Home (OMH), a safe haven for teen moms and their children, including those in foster care and survivors of human trafficking. Our mission is to empower these young mothers with the resources and support they need to thrive, and we have recently made significant strides in fulfilling that mission.
Grand Opening of Our Boutique
We are excited to announce the completion and opening of our new boutique! This dedicated space provides work clothes and essential support to our teen moms, helping them build confidence as they prepare for job interviews and navigate the workforce. Our boutique not only offers a range of professional attire but also serves as a resource for personal development workshops and mentorship opportunities. This initiative aims to equip our young mothers with the skills and confidence to succeed in their careers, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
Launch of Our Community Food Pantry
In addition to our boutique, OMH has proudly opened a food pantry, which is now serving the teen moms and families in our community. This vital resource provides nutritious food and diapers, alleviating some of the pressures that come with parenting. The food pantry is designed to ensure that no mother has to choose between providing for her family and meeting other essential needs. By offering these resources, we hope to create a supportive environment where our teen moms can focus on their personal and familial growth.
